Fold both A5 pieces of card in half. On the white card trace around something round like a lid small enough to fit two circles on the folded pieces of card. Find a smaller lid again and on two circles place it in the middle and trace around it, this is the centre of the daisy’s.
Draw some bees on the other circles and petals for the flowers.
While still folded, cut all shapes out.
Paint the centres of the flowers and the stripes on the bees and allow to dry. Once dry, draw in the details of the bees.
Hole punch each shape with two holes close together on each side of the bee’s and flower’s shape.
Cut the wool at about arms length and thread a blunt needle onto it, the needle should fit through the holes easily. This is a great way to teach your child basic sewing over and under until all shapes are thread on. You can extend the learning by plaiting another piece of wool through the chain or leave it as it is. Tie a loop at the top and hang it up.
